Privacy policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
Gleeph is a desktop app for Windows that manages, syncs and shares fonts. This policy explains what information Gleeph accesses, what it does with it, and what it doesn't do. In short: Gleeph has no servers. Your fonts and your data stay on your computer and in Google Drive accounts you control. We don't collect, sell or share your information.
What Gleeph accesses
On your computer
Gleeph reads the fonts installed on your computer (their files and the names and details inside them) to build your library. It keeps that library, your categories and collections, and copies of original font files it replaced with a fixed version, in its own folder on your computer.
Your Google account, when you sign in
Signing in with Google is optional. If you do, Gleeph asks Google for:
- Your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture), shown inside Gleeph so you can see which account is signed in.
- Google Drive, files Gleeph creates (
drive.file), for syncing My fonts: Gleeph creates a “Gleeph” folder in your Drive and keeps copies of your user-installed fonts and a record of your library changes there. It can't see any other file in your Drive. - Google Drive, full access (
drive), only if you sign in to a team workspace: a workspace is a folder in its creator's Drive that is shared with you, and Gleeph needs this permission to read the fonts other people add to it. Gleeph only opens folders it has marked as Gleeph workspaces, and the files inside them. It doesn't read, change or delete anything else in your Drive.
How Gleeph uses it
- To copy your fonts to your Google Drive and install them on your other computers.
- To keep a team workspace's font library in its shared folder, and install the fonts you turn on.
- When you invite someone to a workspace, Gleeph shares its folder with their email address through Google Drive, and Google sends them the invitation.
- To show who is signed in.
Gleeph does all of this on your computer, only when you ask (by signing in, clicking Sync now, or turning a font on or off). It never syncs by itself in the background.
What Gleeph doesn't do
- It has no servers, so your data is never sent to us. Information from your Google account goes only between Google and the Gleeph app on your computer.
- It doesn't sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
- It doesn't use your information for advertising, and has no ads, analytics or tracking.
- No person at Gleeph can read your fonts or your Google Drive.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Gleeph's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where your data is stored, and for how long
- On your computer, in Gleeph's own folder, until you uninstall Gleeph or delete that folder.
- The sign-in Google gives Gleeph is kept in Windows Credential Manager on your computer, never in a file.
- In your Google Drive (your “Gleeph” folder) and in a workspace's folder in its creator's Google Drive, until you or the folder's owner delete them. Those copies are governed by your Google account.
Your choices
- Disconnect Google at any time in Gleeph's Settings.
- Remove Gleeph's access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete the “Gleeph” folder in your Google Drive to remove the copies Gleeph made there.
- Leave a workspace in Gleeph's Settings; its fonts are removed from your computer.
Children
Gleeph is made for professional designers and isn't directed at children under 13.
